The 2013-2014 school year began this week throughout the Jewish State. In Judea and Samaria, over 100,000 students are back on the school benches in hundreds of kindergartens, schools, yeshiva high schools for boys, and ulpana high schools for girls.
A short swing-stop on their way to school... |
Based on figures from regional councils in Judea and Samaria, this year marks once again a significant rise in the number of students. The rise is parallel to the general increase in population in Judea and Samaria. So reports the Yesha Newsletter.
Here are a few snapshots:
- In the southern Hevron Hills Region, for example, four new kindergartens were opened.
- In Kedumim (Western Samaria), the student population rose by 10%.
- In Gush Etziyon, there are 142 more first-grade students than last year.
- In the Binyamin region, no less than 8,800 children are off to grade school.
While Tzipi Livni and Netanyahu’s advisors are busy negotiating away chunks of historic Israel, the Jewish population in the same regions continues to thrive and blossom.
