A Kabbalist Elder in Bnei Brak told his students on Friday, Dec.21, 2012 that time is running out for Diaspora Jews to return to the Jewish State.

Rabbi Eliyahu Leon Levi of Bnei Brak
Delivering a lecture at the Kotel

Rabbi Eliyahu Leon Levi, a 73-year-old sage of Turkish Jewish descent who continues a tradition of Kabbalah from his grandfather and father, issued a passionate cry for the Jews of the United States to purchase homes in Israel and begin planning their move. He said that just like in Iran before the Shah was ousted, the Jews were prospering financially. But then suddenly everything changed, and many couldn't leave with their wealth.

"A similar scenario will occur in the USA," he warned. "Jews must leave and take their money with them. The day will come when they won't be able to leave with their wealth," he said.

The Or HaChaim (Rabbi Chaim Ben Attar) taught that the tragedies of the exile are Divine signals to prod the Jewish People to return to Israel.

Wordle: Jews Come Home to Israel

In his native Morocco, the Or HaChaim was targeted by the government, and falsely accused of things that he had no part in. He was thrown into jail on more than one occasion, and even thrown into the lions den from which he came out unharmed.

In 1738 when hunger plagued Morocco, he reached the conclusion that he must move to Israel, and he began his long journey.

In the introduction to his Torah commentary, the Or HaChaim writes:
"Those who pursued me didn't relent. I prayed for peace, but behold, enemy after enemy assaulted me, one trouble after another, until I was up to my neck in distress. I wondered from town to town, becoming a fulfillment of the verse, 'He that flees from terror, shall fall into the pit."
"And then G-d opened my eyes. I realized that the reason for these troubles and plagues was none other than to signal me to ascend to the place of the Shechina, the city which is so exalted and so dear to G-d of the world."

Note that the final straw that convinced the Or HaChaim to make aliya was the financial collapse in Morocco induced by famine. It was not a decree specifically targeting the Jews.

  1. How did he get on when he returned, the 18th century wasn't an easy time?

    1. Was there ever an "easy" time to live in Israel? Is it easy for a lion in the jungle? It's not easy, but we get along just fine. We do the army; we fight; and we are rewarded with the utmost joy of dwelling in the Land of the Living, and of being Kings, like the lion, of our own destiny.

  2. can you provide more details about what he said? If one can not come what can one do in the meanwhile?

    1. please dont say that. if you fail to see the good, beauty of israel than it is not you that has rejected israel, but the Land that has rejected you. israel's army is the only G-d fearing army in the world. have you heard any other faith and their army dropping leaflets and giving time for women and children to leave. they are following the torah laws. maybe not all the 613, but definitely some of them. if all of you go back, you can change the status quo in israel from left or centre left to religious. dont pass judgement on israel as only Hashem is the true Judge. do your part and go back. look at all the present court cases thats bias againt your people. you want to join hands with the gentiles who have gone all out to destroy you all. againt your own G-d given nation? or is it the comforts and easy life of the gentile ways that attracts you more. If you dont want to go back to israel, please dont. dont you dare ever criticise israel. people there are giving their lives for their holy heritage. you are in no position to make any comments on israel. imagine, can any other people survive thro such progroms, with enemies in their midst , and without, and be such a great nation today if not for Hashem's Love an d Protection.

    2. If you are talking about a corrupt government, have you noticed who is in the White House? And how the US government is cozying up to the Muslim Brotherhood? The country that holds Jonathan Pollard in prison because he is Jewish? Running to the US is not the solution you are looking for, rather, to make Eretz Yisrael the kind of place it should be.

  5. How much time? at least until Pesach?

  6. Hurricane Sandy and now Sandy Hook seem to have defined a specific amount of time to make Aliyah of short duration. Hurricane Irene was a shot across the bow after the passage of legislation in New York granting marriage contracts to homosexuals. A year later came Hurricane Sandy. The Gemorrah in Chulin 92 tells us that it is one of the two great sins that G-d will never countenance in the gentile world: selling human flesh in the marketplace and granting ketubot to male homosexuals. Chulin means both mundane shechitah and....Sandys. So now there have been two Sandys in places that grant those ketubot to the abomination. Time is very limited, and I was wondering if the mekubal gave a specific time frame.

This is important info. because it takes at least three months to make Aliyah properly. And three months from now is Pesach.

    2. Ladies and Gentlemen,

Let's welcome 10Rainbow to the site. This guy rocks. He is a Noahide (see his comment above) which means that he is not Jewish, but recognizes that the Torah from Sinai is G-d's one and true channel of revelation to the world.

10 Rainbow has a positive and upbeat attitude. Welcome, my friend, to the Breeze. Look forward to reading more of your posts.

    2. Shawn, I know that you go by my real last name, but I simply asked the question about three months. I asked if the money in America will go bad before Pesach time. We really do not know for sure. The mekubal may not have given a time frame even if he is more urgent than he has been before. So I asked Baruch if the mekubal gave a time frame so that Jews have until Pesach to come. This is important info. since it takes at least three months to make Aliyah properly. And Pesach is 3 months away. Yes, the Zohar VaYeira 119 hints that the nine months of pregnancy for Geulah began on Tisha B'Av 5772. So Pesach is in the ninth month, but that does not mean that the dollar will collapse at that time. Yet, it might mean that. If Rav Leon, or someone who heard him speak, has supporting info., it would be best to release it now since time is of the essence.

    1. Tzvi Bar-Leib,

In the above post, you opened the mouth of the Kabbalist Rabbi Leon and stuffed into it several words that he didn't say: "within three months." I heard him speak, he didn't say that.

Remove it and feel free to add in your own editorial comment.

I await for action on your part.

You have changed the words. This is wreckless and dangerous. What is with you Bar-Leibs anyway? Very wrong to put fear in people like this.

    1. We are not related at all. Dov Bar- Leib is my real name. Tzvi Bar- Leib is not his real name. His first name is Shawn, and his last name is not Bar- Leib. I have had an End of Days blog since early in 2005, right after the South Asian Tsunami. Shawn's blog is relatively new. You will have to ask him questions about himself. I am not sure if he wants to reveal his real last name, but as I said we are not related.

I don't know who is Dov Bar-Leib. No one seems to ever have heard of him outside the internet. He heavily promotes the views of some fringe people, to describe them kindly.

    3. Are the fringe people that I support Rav Shalom Arush Shlita and Rav Lazer Brody Shlita?? Or was it Rav Mordechai Eliyahu zt"l? Or are they political people like Naftali Bennett or Michael Ben-Ari? I am trying to figure out who these fringe people are. In a world of lies where the Truth is almost absent, I guess it is best to be on the fringe.

  17. here 3 months the rebbe said why america there will be nuclear war

Where are Obama and Netanyahu's nuclear clocks?

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his deputy, Strategic Affairs Minister Moshe Yaalon, suddenly woke up Tuesday, Dec. 25, when at the launch of their Likud-Beitenu election campaign, they were asked what had happened to the dire Iranian nuclear threat. “It will soon be back in the headlines,” they said. “Not a day goes by without it receiving our attention,” said sources close to the prime minister. “The nuclear clock is still ticking” - and it is fact that National Security Adviser Yaacov Amidror has made several recent trips to Washington to discuss the issue with American colleagues. “Now we are waiting for Barack Obama to form his new government,” Yaalon remarked.
But Obama and his government will only be sworn in on January 21, and the next day Israel itself goes to the polls. On past performance, an incoming Israel prime minister takes weeks, if not months, to assemble a new government. Iran has therefore been given the gift of at least three months to play with before either administration is ready for strategic decision-making with regard to preemptive action against its nuclear program. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei can therefore rest easy until the late spring of 2013.

Dennis Ross, Obama’s former adviser on Iran, who is well versed in White House thinking and has good access to the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem, said in an interview Monday that, for the moment, the Iranians “are not convinced we are prepared to use force.” Speaking to the Jackson Diehl of the Washington Post, Ross said he believed 2013 would be the critical year.
debkafile connects this remark to a comment President Obama made while campaigning for reelection: He spoke of Iran attaining “breakout capacity” next year - a development which must be prevented, because it means, “we would not be able to intervene in time to stop their nuclear program.”
